Betahistine Dihydrochloride is a medication prescribed for treating Meniere's disease. Meniere's disease is characterized by three main symptoms: vertigo (dizziness accompanied by vomiting or nausea), tinnitus (hearing sounds without any external source, such as ear ringing), and hearing loss or decreased hearing ability. Betahistine Dihydrochloride is also utilized to alleviate symptoms of vestibular vertigo, which refers to experiencing vertigo even when not in motion.
How to use?
Adults and the elderly: The recommended total daily dose is 24-48 mg, divided into multiple doses to be taken throughout the day at equal intervals (1-2 tablets orally three times a day). Children (under 18 years old): The use of this medicine is not recommended in children due to a lack of efficacy and safety evidence.
