Opticin Eye Drops 5mL
Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic that fights bacteria in your body. It is used locally to treat superficial infections of the eye (affecting eyelids, conjunctiva, and cornea) and infections of the external ear canal (otitis externa) caused by bacteria susceptible to this medicine's action.
How to use?
"How to use: 1- For bacterial conjunctivitis (infection of the eye conjunctiva): Instill 2 drops in the affected eye every 2 hours while awake for 2 days, then 1-2 drops every 4 hours while awake for the next 5 days. 2- For corneal ulcer (ulcer on the eye): Instill 2 drops of the solution into the affected eye every 15 minutes for the first 6 hours, then 2 drops into the affected eye every 30 minutes for the remainder of the first day. On day 2, instill 2 drops into the affected eye hourly. On day 3-14, instill 2 drops into the affected eye every 4 hours. 3- For external ear canal infection: Instill 0.25 ml into the affected ear twice a day for 7 days. Follow these steps to put in your eye drops: 1- Wash your hands properly before administration. 2- Tilt your head back and look up. 3- With one hand, pull your lower eyelid down and away from your eyeball — this makes a 'pocket' for the drops. 4- With the other hand, hold the eye drop bottle upside down with the tip just above the pocket. 5- Squeeze the prescribed number of eye drops into the pocket. 6- Close your eyes for at least 1 minute."
