Description: Orgametril contains Lynestrenol, a substance similar to the natural hormone progesterone. Progesterone-like substances such as those in Orgametril are often prescribed for disorders of the menstrual cycle. Orgametril can also be prescribed: • For premenstrual syndrome (the regular occurrence of one or more complaints in the period before menstruation). • For endometriosis (abnormal growth of the lining of the uterus). • To treat endometrial cancer. • To treat certain breast disorders. • To suppress the release of an egg cell (ovulation) or menstruation. • As an adjunct to estrogen therapy during or after menopause and to delay menstruation.
How to use?
How to use: For disturbances of the menstrual cycle and some other disorders, the usual dosage is 1 tablet a day on days 14-25 of the cycle. The first day of the cycle is the first day of the menstruation. For the treatment of excessive or prolonged menstrual bleeding, the usual dosage is 2 tablets a day for 10 days. For some other disorders, Orgametril has to be taken each day for prolonged periods of time. Tablets at about the same time each day.
